FAM Malware.

Recently a friend who started using FAM came across a malicious malware that had hijacked the website known as the 'font wasn't found' scam.

Which looked like this:

The update button will then download the malware into your system, though it's uncertain what it actually does to your computer.

Here is a link to a website that better explains it than I can.

In short, be safe when browsing FAM!

We're actually already aware of this, and unfortunately, we can't pinpoint what's causing it outside of it most likely being a malicious ad that got slipped into Google AdSense (given the random patterns of appearance).

Narnia is continuing to investigate when he can, but in the meantime, do NOT click on any links that pop up like this!

I'm only mean out of necessity.

Oddly my popup blockers stop working against it, which is weird.

Yeah, this is a known thing with it. It's incredibly frustrating, but ultimately more annoying than anything else as long as you don't click on anything / call any numbers / do anything except close it out.
